Review of the Best Car Seats For Your Baby
Choosing a car seat for your baby can be challenging. We’ve reviewed the 3 the best products on the market to help you with this important decision.
Our review contains all the essential information you will need when choosing a seat.
Please note: For new born babies you are looking purchase a Group 0+ seat and infant carrier as these are especially designed for newborns and it will last them until they are a toddler at around 12-15 months old.
Maxi-Cosi CabrioFix Review
This seat’s recommended retail price is £135 and it is a great all around infant seat suitable for babies up to 13kg (around 12-15 months old). This is one of the safety seats in the market with 2 great safety features; its build in side impact protection and it works with the ISOFIX system that fixes the baby seat to the car. Not only is the ISOFIX a great safety feature as it tells you if the seat is installed correctly with a series of checkpoints but it also makes fitting and removing the seat carrier a dream. The car seat is now lighter than previous versions making it much easier to carry. The Maxi-Cosi ISOFIX base costs around £125 but it is well worth the investment if you are considering the CabrioFix seat. Most modern cars have the ISOFIX system built into their seats. This is not the lightest seat in the review at 3.6kg but its not too heavy either. Overall a great buy with or without the ISOFIX base.
Silver Cross Simplicity Review
This car seat is priced at £135 and like the Maxi-Cosi CabrioFix is suitable until the
the baby develops to a weight of 13kg. This carrier seat is not the lightest in our review at 4.0kg making it easy to carry even the heaviest of babies. This seat is secured to the car using the car’s seat belt or using the Silver Cross Simplixfix Isofix base and has the reassurance of side impact protection. If you have a Silver Cross Wayfarer prams or a Silver Cross Surf pushchair the Silver Cross Simplicity is an idea complement.
Mothercare Ziba Baby Review
The Mothercare Ziba Baby car seat costs £35.00 making it the cheapest seat in the
review. Like the Silver Cross seat this car seat is secured to the car using the car’s seat belt. Even though the Ziba Baby is the cheapest product in the review this seat has side impact protection and is suitable until the baby is 13kg. This car seat is the lightest of the seats in the review at 3.5kg, making it a dream to carry and with a price of less than £60 this car seat is a really bargain.
